Creating magic for DisneyMedia+

Disney

Building an imaginative experience for the original imagineers was a tall order - but one we rose to with great success.

Making magic look easy

DisneyMedia+ is a marketing division of the entertainment giant that focuses on striking commercial deals. Tie-ups between Disney and brands, in every sector from tech to toothpaste, are brokered by the DisneyMedia+ team. They tasked Equator to make the magic work online.

A simple but effective experience

It had to be a tool for Disney’s sales teams, showcasing hand-picked case studies in an engaging and informative way. Disney identified that the main target audiences would be media companies, creative agencies and other brands. We set ourselves the target of creating an experience that balanced the intuitive features of Umbraco and the magic of the Disney brand.

Designed to inspire

We knew that in order to be an effective selling tool the website really had to embody everything Disney. The site was designed to inspire audiences with a highly visual experience that brought the famous Disney characters to life, and showcased the possibilities of partnering with the brand. With so many assets it was important that the site was easy to maintain, too. We achieved this with a user-friendly Content Management System that makes it easy for our client to manage case studies, images, products and news.

A platform that connects

We’re hugely proud of the final product - a site that’s making a big difference to the DisneyMedia+ business. Feedback from the Disney team has been highly positive, and the site has now been translated into three additional languages to create a coordinated approach across all key European markets.

“Inspiring audiences by bringing the famous Disney characters to life is something really magical.”
