The role
The Group Account Director’s role is to set the overall direction of their accounts and their teams, responsible for the overall ownership, development, quality of work and campaign performance. As a senior client contact, you will take responsibility for the creating and execution of client development plans, quarterly activity planning, and achieving agreed incremental revenue targets. You will report to the Business Unit Leader and will be accountable for the performance of your client account to agreed revenue targets. You will manage the performance and outcomes of your Account Directors ensuring that your teams’ deliverables and outcomes meet the needs of both your client and Equator.
Main Responsibilities:
- Reporting directly to the Business Unit Leader you will support by reporting to them on account and team performance
- Setting the standards and developing the strategy for the accounts against which your role will be assessed, act as an ambassador of the business.

- Managing the client by taking a leadership role in all disciplines (marketing/strategy, creative, research, development) from planning to completion.
- Motivate, lead and develop your account team in line with the business objectives.
- Oversee and advise to ensure projects are completed on-time, within budget, and to Equator standards.
- Ensure that both you and your team always have Equator’s commercial objectives in mind.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of all aspects of Equator’s full-service digital offering ensuring you are always in a position to confidently discuss in detail Equator’s services.
- Managing the client by taking a leadership role in all disciplines (marketing/strategy, creative, research, development) from planning to completion.
- Support the business development team to secure new business where appropriate.
- Support the project teams by providing industry specific knowledge.
- Remaining up-to-date on Client/Competition/Agency/Industry business through trade publications, online articles and other sources.
- Develop project briefs to drive projects, evaluating creative product against brief to ensure solution is on-strategy and meets Client’s digital needs.
- Maintaining Equator and Client relationships by building excellent senior level rapport with clients where required.
- Conduct quarterly client planning and reviews. Discuss Equator’s performance with the client ensuring that any feedback, positive and negative, is dealt with in a proactive and timely manner and discuss feedback with the Business Unit Leader.
- Writing reports, documenting Agency/Client interaction and decisions taken and e prepared to present this back to the Business Unit Leader.
- Responsible for ensuring that team deliverables align with client priorities.
- Development and review of project statements of work and/or scope documents.
- Input time entry in Maconomy daily.
- Have an awareness of all client related budgets, billings and ETC’s through Maconomy.
- Maintaining overall quality control across projects
- Develop close, trusting relationships with the senior team and heads of department. Work with them to ensure the principles of excellence are integrated into our process and our output.
- Manage direct reports, including managing training requirements, providing support where required, conduct appraisals and one-to ones.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Good knowledge of the DX landscape
- Good knowledge of the healthcare sector and DX role in helping organizations grow
- Really strong pre-sales strategic and commercial experience
- A 'client champion' who has their clients' backs
