The role

Our Data Insights Analyst will be working within Equator’s Insights & Analytics team which is responsible for business intelligence, data analysis, mining, segmentation and digital experience optimisation. This role is instrumental in leading a data-driven culture within the organisation.

 

In this role you will be an analytical thinker, keen to look beyond the surface and are focused on continuous learning when it comes to the data. You have the ability to analyse the data in depth but critically, extract the meaning and learnings from the data to ultimately support strategic decision-making - thus delivering value to our clients from their data.

 

You will:

  • Interrogating and visualising data to drive insights and support strategic decision-making.
  • Managing large datasets from disperse sources, developing conclusions and presenting actionable recommendations.
  • Building out intuitive self-service dashboards with relevant KPIs and insights.
  • Creation and delivery of measurement strategy and structure aligned with the strategic and business objectives of each client.
  • Detailed auditing of and accurate configuration of our clients’ analytics platform.
  • Maintaining strict QA processes and standards in order to deliver high data integrity (incl. validation of measurement markers implemented).
  • Supporting the preparation of high-quality proposals in line with tender specifications in a timely and robust manner, contributing to the development of the team’s pipeline of work.
  • Helping to build the analytical capacity and capability of the wider team, with a focus on implementing statistical and advanced analytical methods, seeking to support the team and learning ethos that currently exists.

 

 

 

Salary

£30,000 - £35,000

Skills & attributes

Is it for you?

  • 1 year’s experience working in equivalent role is essential
  • Advanced MS Excel skills
  • Proficiency in analytical and visualisation tools (Google Looker Studio essential, ideally experience with Power BI and SQL also)
  • Experience with data integration platforms (e.g. Funnel, Supermetrics, Adverity) is desirable
  • Proficiency in cloud-based technologies in the modern data stack (Google BigQuery preferred) is desirable
  • Proficiency in web analytics methodologies, tools, and analysis packages to collect, validate, and analyse data. Including GA4 as a minimum
  • Proficiency in use of debugging tools e.g. GTM Debug, GA4 Debugger
  • Demonstrated experience in gathering, segmenting, analysing and developing visual representations of data to help explore, understand and communicate data, and performing analytics for informed decision making
  • Broad appreciation of digital and marketing influences and their impact on web performance
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities within tight timeframes
  • Able to work flexibility and adapt recommendations to suit client budgets
  • Positive can-do attitude and always chasing solutions that benefits the team, willingness to learn independently and adapt role
  • A high level of learning agility - you can pick things up and learn quickly on your own (but also collaborate where needed), with a determination to deliver optimum output
  • Confident communicator across email, phone and video
  •  Able to communicate amassed data findings, learnings and recommended actions to clients to ensure that the value and worth of said proposed actions are surfaced and made visible
  • You take ownership of problems and work with the necessary teams to resolve them
  • Planning and strong time management – you are responsible for ensuring that the planned tasks within budget are carried out at the correct point, in line with agreed deliverables and within agreed scope
  • Experience of working with large and complex datasets and identifying trends or issues
