Overview of Role
We are looking for a UX Consultant to focus on the business aspects of the design of the user experience. You will be stepping back to focus on the whole ecosystem of an organisation and the entire journey of users. You need to be able to drive change and impact through your work and getting that all important senior buy-in.
Responsibilities
About the role
- Help clients define the business problems showing up on the surface as UX problems
- Using UX Design as a way to research the business problem creating valuable insights that can help solve complex business problems
- Capturing client, business and user requirements through discovery and best practice research
- Design and facilitation of client and user workshops
- Guide the UX strategy and help shape wider business strategies from this
- Collaborating with UX Design teams on bigger projects and to align the strategic with the practical.
Skills, Knowledge and Competencies
About you
- 4+ years experience in a UX Consultancy, UX Design or UX Strategy role
- A strong project portfolio showing user centeredness and business acumen
- Experience working directly with clients and senior stakeholders
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in user research and testing
- Able to align design to business strategy and have the business acumen and interpersonal skills to actively seek and build relationships with senior stakeholders
- Ability to bring a human centred design approach to everything you do, and use this to get clients onboard with your ideas
- Aware of the latest trends and approaches across design, users, and digital and can look beyond hype to identify valuable business opportunities
