Retargeting is a given with most media buys and generally drives incremental sales. Until recently however, retargeting was not an option with social placements. It didn’t take Facebook and Twitter long to release that this had to change, with social platforms becoming more prominent within media plans.
This article highlights the retargeting options available through Facebook and Twitter, aiming to guide marketers in the right direction when it comes to social retargeting. In our experience, social advertising still has a long way to go, however it is reassuring to know that these platforms are constantly developing their technology in order to further improve user experiences. These improvements ultimately will result in stronger advertising solutions.
