Twitter on the RTB Bandwagon
The Twitter-sphere has been buzzing recently with the news that Twitter has acquired MoPub - a mobile ad serving platform which operates within RTB exchanges (Real Time Bidding Exchanges).
So what does this mean for the future of those using Twitter as a channel? Well for a start, they can offer a more targeted, tailored and native approach to advertising across the mobile platform which has seen increasing revenues over the last 18 months.
From an advertiser's point of view, this can only be a good thing as they strive to deliver more relevant ads to engaged and interested users. One of the main tools we'll be keeping our eyes peeled for is hyper-local targeting where users can be reached when out and about in their local area.
