Facebook recently announced the roll out of larger ad formats which is, of course, exciting news for advertisers and agencies alike as advertising on Facebook continues to host a huge realm of targeted solutions. The question is how will this impact on the user?
Will users accept that, as a free platform, Facebook monetises the site by offering engaging advertising opportunities, or will users begin to fret over the volume of ads being served on a daily basis. The true telling point will be the engagement rates recorded.
We would imagine that, thanks to the strong targeting opportunities, brands will experience a higher volume of relevant clicks off the back of these larger formats.
