YouTube founders launch MixBit

If you are already a major fan of apps like Vine and Instagram video then it's more than likely that MixBit is going to be your new, favourite social media toy.

Developed by the founders of the ever-popular video sharing site YouTube; MixBit allows users to take show videos on their smartphones and stitch them together with clips shared by other users, creating longer content.

The app enables users to record, edit and publish videos as long as one hour, however the more complicated side to this is that each clip will only allow for 16 seconds of footage and needs to be combined with other clips to make a longer video. However, the concept of 'stitching' together footage drives MixBit apart from its rival apps Vine and Instagram and will no doubt become a viral success due to its innovative main feature.

Another major feature of the app is that all content uploaded onto the app is done so anonymously and instantly becomes property of the MixBit community - a feature that might not be welcomed by creative individuals wanting to make a claim on their videos

We expect that MixBit has the potential to be the next big social media hit, giving users more creative freedom to play around with longer and more unique content.
