Ubiquitous Mobile Ad Discussions
If mobile advertising is not to have its year in 2013, it will certainly be talked about! To say we have been waiting a while for mobile advertising to take off may be a bit of an understatement. Critics would argue that that mobile advertising still has a long way to go and as we discussed last month there are many negative articles surrounding this topic. However the industry is eventually getting there with the help of social media.
Facebook has now taken the lead in mobile advertising primarily through their promoted posts within the mobile feed. This form of display advertising is 42% more effective than their standard display ads especially when combined with rich media. This is set to be a promising year for Facebook with the launch of their exchange as well as being at the forefront of mobile advertising. We'll certainly be keeping a close eye on Zuckerberg's plans for 2013.
