Bulk editing bulks up in Adwords

Do you love the insights of search terms reports and Auction Insights of the Adwords interface but crave the easy bulk editing of Adwords Editor? Well, thanks to Google's latest efforts to make their online interface "faster, simpler and more beautiful" these two worlds have moved a little closer together…

Until a couple of months ago, carrying out large-scale changes in the online system would have needed a little time and quite a bit of patience and if you manage large accounts like we do, it wouldn't have been long before your mouse was hovering over the Editor icon on your task bar. Next time you're in Adwords check out some of these features:

  • Setting and amending bids at campaign, adgroup or keyword levels. Good for isolating and pushing up groups of keywords below first page bid levels and even better - tweaking bids up or down by the percentage of your choice.
  • URL amends. Search and replace for landing page changes.
  • Multi-tasking. If your amends are particularly hefty, you can leave the page or log out whilst these are being pushed through the system.
