Mobile Advertising: We’ll Get There
It's been years that online advertisers have been hearing the benefits of mobile advertising. As we close up 2012, again we hear that 2013 will be the year of mobile advertising. Are we finally there? Certainly articles like this don't help the mobile advertising push, declaring that mobile ads are more annoying than TV spots.
But really, how can we measure this in such an immature forum? Let's face it - people are used to getting their TV shows interrupted by ads and when mobile matures perhaps people will realise (and accept?) that advertising pays for their free apps. And besides, the whole magic in advertising is when an ad doesn't "interrupt" but fits seamlessly into the user's experience. As ads develop on mobile - we'll get there.
