New shared budgets in AdWords
We're all familiar with daily campaign budgets, however, Google have now expanded this concept further with the introduction of shared budgets. This new feature allows a daily campaign budget to be shared amongst a number of different campaigns, as opposed to the previous approach of having it confined to only one.
Shared budgets essentially make it easier to control Adwords spend in relation to available marketing budgets and could come particularly handy in situations where tight control of daily budgets is required across a number of separate areas. For example, a hotel chain with multiple campaigns targeting keywords relevant to different hotels. In this instance shared budgets could be set up and on days where less is spent for one hotel the additional budget would then be available for another.
