Search As You Type - Google AdWords pilot

Keen to know the appetites of retailers across the US, Google has launched a tempting pilot for Adwords advertisers from their merchandising technology solution (Google Commerce Search). In the next few months retailers can apply to integrate and test out the Search As You Type (SAYT) feature on their sites – for free (well, at least up to a point).

Keen to know the appetites of retailers across the US, Google has launched a tempting pilot for Adwords advertisers from their merchandising technology solution (Google Commerce Search). In the next few months retailers can apply to integrate and test out the Search As You Type (SAYT) feature on their sites - for free (well, at least up to a point).

One of the 9 core features of the Commerce Search package, SAYT blends the power of Google's predictive search functionality with the merchant's product catalogue to deliver a more interactive and intuitive experience for shoppers. Dynamic product suggestions, recommendations and accompanying photos are shown when users enter search queries on the retailer's site; making it simpler to locate the item they're after and ultimately easing the path to purchase. Pretty exciting stuff for retailers - hopefully this pilot will make its way across the Atlantic soon.
