The media team recently came upon a great article that helps to decipher the implications of Facebook’s new ad exchange, FBX, which is currently still basically in beta mode. It seems the new exchange will focus quite a bit on re-messaging and behaviourally-targeted groups, which of course will entice those looking for direct response campaigns. The main point is that “it has become clear that the Facebook exchange is not competitive with, but complementary to, existing advertising options”.
