A Summertime Hike Up Ben Lendl

The Equator Walking team has successfully conquered Ben Ledi! Since the walk was so lovely during the winter, the team thought that it would be even more wonderful in the summer. Ah, but the Scottish summer was true to form and it might as well have been November!

The Equator Walking team has successfully conquered Ben Ledi! Since the walk was so lovely during the winter, the team thought that it would be even more wonderful in the summer. Ah, but the Scottish summer was true to form and it might as well have been November!

As Ben Ledi is just under 3,000 feet, it's considered a Corbett rather than a Monroe. However, at 2,884 feet, it certainly isn't a walk to be done without preparation. The hike took about three hours in which time people were coming in and out of sight as a thick mist enveloped the entire hill. It's a wonder they didn't need ropes to keep everyone together!

Let's hope the team has better weather for their hike up the highest peak in the British Isles, Ben Nevis, on the 13th!
