Client services team sees itself on TV...

We look after our people. And part of looking after our people is learning to do things better. Part of our learning programme involves getting better at presenting ourselves and our work.

...and is slightly freaked out by it.

We look after our people. And part of looking after our people is learning to do things better. Part of our learning programme involves getting better at presenting ourselves and our work.

And so it was that the Client Servicing team took a day out of the office on Friday to improve their presentation skills.

The session was held by a professional bunch called Kissing with Confidence (weird name, good company) at the Ramada Jarvis Glasgow City hotel. Our initial disappointment about the lack of kissing involved was quickly overcome as the adrenaline filled day kicked off. We were all challenged to talk unprepared about random topics ranging from plastic surgery and Paris to shopping, smoking and moustaches! This was not a session for shrinking violets.

Just as we were getting used to this, out came the handycam and tripod. And let me tell you, after seeing 5 minutes of yourself being played back on TV and critiqued by all, you begin to realise that kissing your colleagues with confidence would really have been the easier option!

The result? Our clients should now enjoy sparkling presentations from a shinier, more communicative and perhaps slightly paranoid client services team.
