Mobile and internet network operator Orange launched in 1993 with the slogan "The future's bright, the future's Orange". In June 1996, it became the youngest company to enter the FTSE 100, valued at £2.4 billion. A year later, Orange had one million customers. The company then merged with T-Mobile, before rebranding as EE in 2010. In 2014, Orange contracts could no longer be bought online. In February 2015, Orange UK's parent company EE announced that Orange (along with T-Mobile) tariffs were withdrawn for new and existing customers, marking the official end of Orange in the UK.
