Senior Account Manager



Acting as the key point of contact for the client, the role is to help drive value for Equator's clients and for Equator. Firstly, by supporting your Account Director with planning and proposals designed to help clients achieve their objectives. Secondly, by managing internal teams to provide clients with quality digital solutions, on time and on budget.




  • Help with the development of client targets and strategies, in line with their plans, as well as supporting the identification of additional opportunities that they could potentially capitalise on
  • Contribute to the client-facing proposals that sell our recommended strategies and solutions
  • Develop effective internal briefs that provide 'on-strategy' direction to teams
  • Work with relevant internal teams to turn briefs into fully-scoped deliverables
  • Produce clear activity and resource plans
  • Project manage internal teams to ensure the delivery of solutions is on time and on budget
  • Develop a strong collaborative relationship with the internal production teams
  • Manage tracking and reporting of performance to ensure team accountability and quality of deliverables
  • Efficiently manage all client related budgets, targets and billing requirements. Ensure accurate invoicing for all clients



  • Maintaining a thorough understanding of clients businesses and the markets in which they operate
  • Maintaining a good understanding of our offering and be able to confidently discuss it with clients
  • Ensuring the quality of our digital output is of a level that meets the agreed scope of the project, industry compliance and is keeping with the organisation's reputation for excellence
  • Anticipating any problems which may arise during the day to day delivery and communicate how challenges will be overcome/mitigated
  • Managing client expectations to ensure the Equator is able to deliver the required levels of service
  • Managing and mentor to ensure good clear client records, WIPs, status reports and internal communications



  • Some previous experience as an Account Manager, specific digital experience is necessary
  • Some experience of business and market analysis, ideally gained with clients in the retail banking sector or another regulated FS sector.
  • Exposure to the digital marketing planning process would be advantageous
  • Good proposal writing skills and experience of producing agency briefs for SEO, email, web design / optimisation
  • Knowledge of digital production processes, both technical and creative
  • Strong organisational and multi-tasking skills.
  • Proven ability in managing a range of campaign budgets
  • A focus on productivity, quality, and results, ensuring our digital output meets the agreed scope of the project, and meets your clients required high standards
  • An ability to manage client expectations to ensure Equator can deliver the required levels of service
  • Attention to detail ensuring good clear client records, WIPs, status reports, and accurate invoicing
  • A highly sociable and enthusiastic personality
