The role

At Equator, we pride ourselves on being the go-to digital agency for some of the UK's most iconic brands. We're looking for an experienced frontend developer to join our team to help us build and maintain websites and services for our clients that will be used by millions across the globe

The thing that makes your position so important in Equator is you take the lead development role in small projects, receive architecture guidance from senior developers and team leaders and take ownership and responsibility for and design of solutions being developed.

You will: 

  • Working in our Engineering Team leading on Front End strategy and approach in line with wider project team
  • Ensuring all solution designs are appropriately documented to ensure deliverables are clear and easily communicated to other teams in Equator
  • Helping new business team ballpark and estimate new business opportunities and complete associate documentation
  • Coordinating scoping efforts on projects and ensure that more junior team members are given opportunity to participate for training purposes and are adequately supported
  • Taking the leading role in project retrospectives and ensure that feedback is fair and constructive and all appropriate action is taken following the retrospective to ensure continuous improvement occurs
  • Actively mentor and support others within the development team and take an active role in ‘buddying’ new graduate members of the team

 

 

Salary

£45,000 - £55,000

Skills & attributes

Is it for you?

  • Experience in a digital agency setting or similar, fast-paced environment
  • A solid understanding of modern frontend technologies and techniques (HTML5, SASS, ES6 JS, React/Vue, Webpack, etc)
  • An appreciation for cross-browser and device compatibility
  • Experience working with project management and other departments to ensure successful project delivery
  • A track record of mentoring and knowledge sharing within your team
  • Comfortable estimating your work and breaking down complex task
