Digital Designer

We have an opening in our highly talented team to be filled by a charismatic, driven digital designer.

We are looking for someone with a high level of conceptual design talent (coming up with Big Ideas for big integrated campaigns);

A high level of skill in the main software we use (Illustrator, Photoshop and Flash animation and actionscripting);

A high level of attention to detail and quality;

And, above all, a true passion for digital design.

Affiliate Marketing Co-ordinator

Who are we

Equator are Scotland's no.1 digital agency. We create and manage websites and online marketing campaigns for some fantastic brands across the UK.

Description

We're looking for someone with a reasonable online marketing background to join our marketing team as an affiliate marketing co-ordinator. Whilst experience in running affiliate programmes is not necessary (full training will be provided), an understanding of and an enthusiasm for online marketing and the internet is what we're looking for.

As an affiliate marketing co-coordinator, you will be responsible for:

• Managing a number of affiliate programmes on behalf of our clients
• Managing relationships with affiliates and affiliate networks
• Identifying opportunities for growth for each client
• Providing regular accurate reporting and analysis

Whether you're a recent graduate or already employed, the key to success in this role is to have a vibrant, engaging personality coupled with strong interpersonal communication skills and an appreciation of what drives business.

Requirements

You will be self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook and a clear focus on high quality and business profit. A natural forward planner who critically assesses own performance. Mature, credible and comfortable in dealing with senior big company executives.

You will be reliable, tolerant, determined and an empathic communicator who is able to see things from other people's point of view, keen for new experiences whilst being responsible and accountable. The ability to get on with others and be a team player is a must. You must also be able to demonstrate that you have researched and understood the affiliate marketplace.

A marketing degree or equivalent and/or knowledge and experience is also required as is sufficient flexibility to travel within the UK up to a few days each month.

Salary

From £15,000 dependent on experience

 

Web Application Developer

Due to continual expansion, we are currently looking for a Web Application Developer to join our Development team.

You must have a genuine enthusiasm for development work, be committed, client facing, talented, fun and have at least 2-3 years experience in web based technologies.

As part of the team you will be expected to take on new projects, work on existing projects, provide support to the senior members of the team, provide updates on progress and also support junior team members.  You will also continually push for the implementation of new technologies and best practice in every aspect of the development project life cycle.

Key Technical skills/Experience

• 2/3 years + ASP.Net
• 2/3 years + c#
• 2/3 years+ SQL Server
• CSS, (X)HTML, JavaScript/ JQuery and Ajax experience
• An understanding of web services and application integration
• Knowledge of and a desire to use continuous integration technologies
• Knowledge of automated testing and load testing
• A good grasp of Object Oriented Design and techniques
• Produce accurate and well documented solutions

Key Role Skills

• Willingness to teach and mentor others
• Take responsibility for design and development on client projects
• Provide input and implement improvements in the development life cycle

Account Directors and Account Managers

Senior Interface Developer

Due to continual expansion, we are currently looking for a Senior Interface Developer to join our Development team.

You must have a genuine enthusiasm for development work, be committed, client facing, talented, fun and have at least five years experience in web based technologies.

As part of the team you will be expected to take on new projects, work on existing projects, provide mentoring for junior members of the team and help continually push the implementation of new technologies and best practice in every aspect of the development project life cycle.

Key Technical skills/Experience

• 5+ years HTML with expertise of Web Standards with an emphasis on modern, semantic mark-up and knowledge of HTML 5 techniques and practices
• 5+ years CSS with proven progressive enhancement techniques
• 5+ years of JavaScript. Working with JS frameworks (e.g. jQuery) also an advantage
• Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
• Knowledge and application of Ajax for enhancing user experience
• Knowledge and application of usability and accessibility best practice.
• Data integration from server-side technologies

Test Analyst

You must have at least 2-3 years experience in testing and have a proven track record testing web applications.

Project Manager

Due to our continual growth we are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join an established Operations Team.

You must be a self motivator and able to work within an expansive team of many disciplines.  As part of the team you will be able to take on new projects, work on existing projects and manage the activity of a talented team of developers and designers.

As well as the day to day, you will be expected to bring fresh and innovative ideas to the company and help drive the department forward, embracing continual improvement.

Key Skills / Experience

• Minimum 3 year's experience of the project lifecycle / running multiple projects.
• Exposure to software development and project management methodologies (Prince 2, Agile etc)
• Well versed in writing project documentation including project plans, functional specifications, test scripts and test plans.
• Strong MS Office Skills (MS Project, MS Visio, MS Excel)
• Workshop facilitation skills
• Requirements gathering and scoping skills
• Excellent communication and relationship building skills
• Interest in the digital / online world (agency experience not essential)

You will be an advocate of best practice and a stickler for getting it right!  This is a dynamic role and one that requires someone to effectively engage with clients and colleagues of all levels.   You must have genuine enthusiasm, be committed, client facing, talented, fun and have at least 3 years experience of running medium to large scale projects.  Most of all, you must have a desire to continually deliver business critical solutions to some of the most exciting brands in the UK.
